We’re really pleased to say that our 2025 Beginners Archery Course has come to a close, and it’s been a fantastic experience for everyone involved. Over the past three weeks, around 30 new faces joined us, and we couldn’t be more excited to see the interest in archery growing here at Loreburn Archers.
The feedback from participants has been great, and it’s clear that everyone had a good time. We’re hopeful that many of you will stick with it and become part of the club in the future.
What We Covered
The course was all about giving everyone the basics they need to start shooting with confidence. We spent time going over the fundamentals of the shot – things like your stance, draw, and release – so everyone could get a solid understanding of the key techniques.
We also took a close look at the equipment used in archery, explaining how to properly handle and set up your bow. Whether you were new or had some experience, we made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident with the equipment.
To finish off, we had a friendly competition to let everyone put what they’d learned to the test. It was all about having fun, but we definitely saw some impressive shots from all of you.
Looking Forward
We’re excited to see where the next steps take you all. We hope many of you will continue with the sport and consider joining Loreburn Archers. Whether you want to come down regularly for practice or take part in competitions, there’s a place for everyone here, no matter your level.
Our club is all about being welcoming, supportive, and creating a space where people can enjoy archery at their own pace. We look forward to seeing where your archery journey goes!
