A massive congratulations to Hannah Maison and Chris McWhinnie on their awards.
Heather Urquhart Memorial Trophy
Many of you will remember Heather Urquhart, from the club, who sadly passed away a few years ago. She was a larger than life character and is very sadly missed within the archery community. Heather was very much in to competing, so it seemed fitting to make her memorial trophy competition related.
The trophy goes to the archer who has improved the best year on year at the Loreburn Archers FITA competition. Hannah Maison was a clear winner this year by improving on her 2015 score this year by a massive 121 points.
Loreburn Archers Chairman’s Award
The second award is ‘The Chairman’s Award’. This goes to a club member who the Chairman feels has gone that little bit extra for the club, for the sport or has shown great improvement.
This year’s winner was Chris McWhinnie. Chris has put in a lot of effort this year with building the new club website and setting up the new format for the beginners’ course.
